A trip over to Italy for a family wedding which was being held in Spello. If I’m honest I’d never heard of Spello but from the pictures I had seen before leaving it looked beautiful.
15 years after our last visit to Rome (on our Honeymoon) we decided to stop here for one night on the way through. Goodness me Rome has gotten rather busy and we were glad we had no intention in queuing to get into the various tourist sights. Still we put several (20) miles under the feet over the afternoon and evening of the first day and then a few hours on the second day. I just love travelling through a city by foot.
I actually had one particular shot in mind from Rome and that will form a big part of my next vlog which should appear on my YouTube channel soon.
From Rome we took a 2 hour train ride to Spello where we spent the next 6 days. It was indeed very beautiful with countless little back streets to get lost in (Spello, Assisi and Spoleto) and we spent many an hour just wandering. Just sitting. Just breathing in the full mood and emotion of the place .
For a few of the street photos I actually used the wireless remote control app on the iPhone with the camera simply hanging around my neck. Allows for a slightly more candid approach, although you are battling at times with the lay of the camera.
Just a few images, all as usual with the X100T and all with minimal, if any post processing. We are already planning a trip back to Italy. Loved it.
